The Ask Harry Service offers AI and voice-based services that streamlines repetitive business tasks and simplify manual tasks.

For example, Harry simplifies form filing, updating phone number lists, and searching for documents. Our AI-powered solution also categorises and summarises data, providing valuable insights to help you make more informed decisions.

To ensure a seamless experience, we rely on a diverse set of third-party service providers alongside our in-house technology. These providers are carefully selected to meet our high privacy, security, and performance standards at the enterprise level. Our list of service providers includes top-tier names such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, along with many other specialist services.

We strategically switch between providers to enhance the quality of our service delivery, utilising the best provider for each task rather than relying on a single provider for all services.

Unanswered and unavailable calls

Outgoing call charges if we can't get a hold of the receiving party

An unanswered outgoing call to the End User will not be charged, if the receiving party does not pickup.

Depending on the service, Ask Harry will wait and try a second time if the call remains unanswered. For details of the number of retries and the delay between retries, see the documentation for that feature.

An unavailable outgoing call that goes through to voicemail or an answering service will be charged at the standard per-minute charge.

Note: In all situations, if the feature includes an incoming call, the incoming call will be charged for.

Calls and messages to landlines

Outgoing calls and messages to non-mobile numbers

Calls to a supplied End User landline phone number will connect as expected. The number must be formatted correctly, see the 'Phone number format guidelines' section.

Messages to a supplied End User landline phone number will usually not send (some territories will automatically attempt to convert the text message to voice. In both cases charges will apply).

Note: this automatic conversion is not part of the Ask Harry service.

Phone number format guidelines

Ensuring outgoing calls and messages connect

To ensure calls connect, all supplied phone numbers must be in the correct format. The international phone number format, or E.164, makes dialling across countries easier with three parts: country code, area code, and the local number. When dialling please use this format:

+ [Country code] [Area code] [Local number]

We accept spaces and (brackets) in the phone number. Remember, add the plus sign (+) and your country code to the front, and remove the preceding zeros.

For example, this is the correct format for Australia:

+61 411 123 456

Pocket calls and idle calls

Call charges if there is an accidental outgoing call

Occasionally the calling party may accidentally make a call to the Ask Harry service, or not properly hang up the call.

A pocket call, also known as a butt dial or pocket dial, is a situation where a mobile phone makes a call unintentionally, typically from inside a pocket or purse. This can happen when the phone is not properly locked or if the user accidentally presses a button or touches the screen.

Ask Harry will cut off the call after approximately two minutes, if it does not hear a command, or if there is silence or just background noise.

Please be aware that repeated pocket calls will incur charges for each call.

Prohibited Region Prefixes

Outgoing calls to Prohibited Region Prefixes

Ask Harry uses standardised per-minute pricing for all outgoing phone calls.

Certain prefixes must not be used for outgoing phone calls within your region. This might be a premium service or a special region with high per-minute call costs. The list below lists the Prohibited Region Prefixes.

Outgoing calls and messages can only be made in the same territory as the site; no international calls will be accepted.

If your Territory is not on the list (eg Austria), please get in touch with our technical support staff or your account manager.
